CAD computer

I have installed the aforementioned pc and 32" monitor in place of the one by the versacamm. I added a small table with wireless peripherals because that space does not have the depth to work with that screen. Monitor has speakers so I took some liberties in decluttering the audio set up as well.

I intended to connect the old computer to the same monitor as well but I don't have the dp cable with me so the old machine is currently down. Sorry for the inconvenience in case you had ongoing work there; I have a cable in storage but uhaul will be closed the next few days. In case of urgency I am leaving everything connected so you can in fact boot it up independently.

I have made a makerspace user and installed QIDI studio, everybody's welcome to install their favorite CAD software, and perhaps we can splurge on a lightburn licence for this as well? It has vastly superior ergonomics. I hope we can all enjoy this set up.

Also leaving a gamepad and my steam library is available in the b user.

I am not sold on the table. However, I am still planning to build out that corner. I think replacing the computer beside the Versacamm would be best. Or building another computer station along the shelves. I am planning to put the resin printers over where the computer station is, beside the electronics station, as it does not get much use.

If the computer is up to it I would be interested in loaning/donating my HTC Vive to the space.

I have a mid tier gaming computer, in fact a complete workstation with 30" 4k monitor and an adjustable standing desk. I think this could serve us well for various CAD applications and hey maybe even some gaming.

Standing desk could replace the apparently underutilized puzzle table and we could have a fancy CAD corner to match our fancy CAM equipment.

As I have gone feral these things will otherwise remain in storage for the foreseeable future. I would be happy to loan them out to the space, or even "donate" if I can get some fee credits for them, because, you see, having gone feral I am left with more "things" than cash flow.

But honestly if I'm bringing them in even as a loan it will be unlikely that I will take them back, unless I genuinely need this set up for a future endeavor. Ultimately I prefer that my things are utilized than stored.

How should I go about executing on this idea? Ultimately I only need permission to nuke the puzzle table.
